Hi Reader ~ Can you believe it's already July 15th? More than halfway through 2026. I've been reviewing the year, and realized that I'm pleased. The year has moved the way I hoped it would; steadily, purposefully, with a few wonderful surprises along the way. Here's one of them: the five stories in The Visible and The Invisible series will be brought together as a single complete volume this fall. The book cover is being done now, and I can't wait to see the designer's ideas and share them with you. And speaking of the series — you haven't forgotten about the fifth story in the series, Second Sight, have you? Second Sight is coming to my Shopify store in August, earlier than anywhere else. Consider it something to look forward to on a hot summer afternoon. But for July, something different. Something that started with the tree frogs. They've been singing in our yard and our little patch of woods every evening — this full, joyful sound that fills the whole night. It got me thinking about frogs. And thinking about frogs got me thinking about a story I wrote years ago about a very particular kind of frog. A proud one. A handsome one. One who had no idea what was holding him back. 🌿 FREE BOOKS OF THE MONTH Every month, I make one of my books available for free on my Shopify store — no strings attached, just my way of saying thank you for being here. This month’s free book is: Golden Chains and Silver Cords: An Adult Fable About Letting Go What if the only thing keeping you from soaring… was something you couldn’t even see? This is the story of the Handsome Bull Frog, who is very much admired and very much aware of it. He loves the attention. He’s built his whole life around it. And because of that, he has no idea he’s carrying chains. I wrote this book during a time when I kept finding myself drawn to people simply because I thought they were giving me love and attention. One of them was very much like the Handsome Bull Frog. And because I couldn’t say what I needed to say directly, I wrote it into a story instead. Of course, once I finished writing it, I realized it was also about me. It usually is. This is a short fable — beautifully illustrated (not by me), short enough to read in one sitting—but its message has a way of staying with you long after the last page. It’s for anyone who has ever looked up at the night sky and wondered if they could fly a little higher. Spoiler: you can. But first, you might need to put something down. → GET YOUR FREE COPY OF GOLDEN CHAINS AND SILVER CORDS HERE! (Free for the last two weeks of July only — through July 31st.) 📷 FROM MY GARDEN Everything is growing and blooming despite the heat, and it was almost impossible to choose what to show you. I chose the garden boxes filled with corn, tomatoes, and squash (it's crazy this year), and the mana deer resting in another part of the garden. Thank you, as always, for reading and for being part of this little community. It means more than you know. Until next time—be well and magnify good. ✨ With love, P.S. Golden Chains and Silver Cords is free through July 31st — and it’s also available as an audiobook if you’d rather listen while you’re out in the garden. → GRAB IT HERE P.P.S. Shifting Stories and Writing Stories—all focused on the reason perception is reality and practical ways to shift it towards what you wish to experience in your life.
Read Online I always wanted to be a dancer. But after a few dance classes as a child—I still remember the little black tuxedo my mom sewed for my tap recital—my parents decided that what I really wanted was piano and art lessons. They were right. I loved those too. But then I watched my future dance teacher perform in The Red Shoes, and I couldn’t stop thinking about dancing. The decision had been made, though, so I tried to live with it. I was already writing little stories for the paper,...
Read And Comment Online Lurking in the shadows of our lives is a fear—and a resistance—to showing up. And yet, since we are here on earth, we agreed to show up. Not just as a person who takes up space, or who treats life as something to endure, but showing up to the something that you, and only you, are here to do. You Already Know I know—you might tell me you don’t know why you showed up, or what you’re supposed to do now that you’re here. And I have to disagree, as politely as possible. If...
Read Online The day after we moved into our house, a turtle came to visit. I was in bed. Exhausted. Wrung out from everything it had taken to buy and move into this house. But when Del told me that there was a turtle at the front door, I pulled myself up and walked to the steps. We looked at each other, the turtle and I. There was no logical explanation for why a large turtle was sitting at my front door. So I did the only sensible thing — I got quiet and listened. “Slow and steady.” That’s...
